Gluten-Free for Life Expo, 2018 - WrapUp

Gluten-Free for Life Expo, 2018 - WrapUp

Once again the Gluten-Free in Florida Support Group has been proud to be a part of our seventh annual Gluten-Free for Life Expo presented at the St Petersburg Coliseum in Florida. And we could not have done it without you! Thank you so much!!
We really appreciate those who provided product to help create our Raffle Bags and to fill our Teens Tables. This year our Teens raised $521.00, Bake Sale raised $220.00, and our Raffle Bags raised $425.00 which means that our total Fund Raising efforts brought in over $1,000.00 to be donated to Camp Boggy Creek.  And an additional $300.00 in Gift Cards from Publix to the Tampa GF Food Pantry, along with a truck load of food donations from the Expo.
While it’s true that our attendance was a bit lighter than usual this year, we all noticed something very significant. Our guests lingered…some for a few hours, some for the entire day! They took the time to speak to the Vendors, attend our Classrooms & Demonstrations, and shop. We had a large number of guests who were newly diagnosed, searching for answers. And many who had never been to a Gluten-Free event before, eager to explore and learn.
Our Expo is unique in that it’s run by the Celiac, Gluten-Free Community, for the Community. And we do this through a 501(c)3 non-profit. Our Venue, the St Pete Coliseum, is a beautiful Historic Treasure.  All profits remaining after expenses go right back into the Gluten-Free Community as donations to the Tampa Gluten-Free Food Pantry, Camp Boggy Creek right here in Florida, and the Gluten-Free in Florida Support Group.

We appreciate all of you, and thank you for helping us work for our Celiac & Gluten Free Community! If you have any suggestions or comments we would love to hear them.
